There are certainly odd Utah pronunciations and peculiarities
which is not a unique characteristic as every region speaks it's own way. For example, I don't like the sound of New York/New Jersey accents. Utahns certainly pronounce words differently but I don't see why anyone has a problem with it, you can still understand what they are saying.

That being said, a true Utah accent is not very common anymore and I am always listening for it. The only place you'll find great Utah accents is in rural communities. The old ranchers and farmers still have it. Another good place to hear it is if you watch hunting videos on Youtube from areas in Utah or the Intermountain West.
