I wouldn't camp just to experience the campsite (even though that can be

a fun part of the experience, especially for kids). We camp because it's a way we can afford to see amazing things. Glacier, the Columbia Gorge, Mount Rainier, Arches, Bryce, etc. When we're not sleeping and dealing with food, we're off to things we want to do while there, mostly hiking.
