are beneficial and which are not?
Successful coaches come in a variety of personalities which create different team cultures. Harbaugh, Carroll, Meyer, Saban, Leach, LaVell, Dabo, Bronco, Belichick, Reid, etc. are so very different from each other.
I agree that being competitive, keeping the team accountable, and having a knack for the details (or having a knack for hiring people who have a knack for the details) is key. But I don't foresee Kalani jumping up and down on the sidelines doing anything. That's what Pop Warner league coaches do when they don't have any real answers.
Creating a winning culture is key. But winning culture comes in many shapes & sizes.
