Seriously? Kalani didn't have any connections to Ty. This was a TH move all the

way. I also believe that Ed Lamb is also a TH addition. Kalani did make a big mistake hiring some of his other buddies. They weren't qualified, prepared, or committed to doing the job. I remember seeing reports of Mahi sleeping during team meetings. How many of those guys moved to other coaching positions? I'm not aware of any of them seeking out and getting coaching jobs anywhere else.

Right now all eyes are on the offense. The Grimes hire was brilliant. He has come in and demonstrated true leadership, brought an upgraded attitude of expectation for excellence. Sometimes, because the media is covering everything about the offense, you could almost get the impression that Grimes is the head coach. I hope that Kalani is telling Tuiaki, "See what Grimes is doing? I expect the same, and even more from you."
