It's referred to as toxic masculinity because they are stereotypically male

behaviors that are, well, toxic. This of course doesn't imply that all masculine behaviors are toxic, just the opposite. I think Pimpin4Paradise demonstrates tons of positive masculine behaviors in his post: protectiveness, sacrifice, nurturing, resourcefulness. He should be commended for his actions. Waking up to take care of an issue like that sucks and he took care of it like a man should.
