Bad move on Kuchar's part, he should have given him $50k after the story came out. If he had done that, this would...

be a non story now, nobody would be talking about it. But because he chose to dig his heels in, this story is going to follow him around for awhile and could potentially cost him sponsorship money down the road.

Kuchar's public image is the super nice guy, the aww shucks type of a guy. That image is currently taking a hit and will take a hit for awhile.

Kuchar already had a reputation for being cheap, that reputation has been cemented.
