Congrats, I thought this was a fairly civil discussion but immaturity always rares its head behind anonymous personas.

Had the caddie agreed upon $50k or even the traditional $130k then, by all means, pay up. But agree on one thing, then try and change the terms of the contract/agreement...nope. That doesn't happen anywhere. Not with your employer, not with any contractor you'd hire, nowhere.

And note, my problem isn't with the amount of money. Clearly, this is a PR disaster. I personally would have paid more money up front, but the entitlement attitude after an agreed upon amount rubs me the wrong way.
