Zach is great, and hopefully he stays healthy, but the likelihood of ALL of the starters remaining healthy is slim. And the drop-off in talent, between the starters and the 2nd/3rd-stringers is steep.
The likelihood of this team going undefeated is not good. I don't mean to sound like a blunt jerk. I'm just kind of surprised that anyone has their hopes that high, at this point in the season. BYU hasn't beat Utah since November 2009. We're 2-3 vs. Utah State in the past five years. (Kalani is 1-2 vs. USU.) That's not a great trajectory.
I would be *very* happy with 8-4.
IF BYU starts out 4-0, then I think you'd be safe raising your expectations for a special season. Until then, I don't think it's reasonable.
