For sure. I’ve just known a number of families that turn their world upside
down constantly talking about how it will all pay off when their son or daughter gets a college scholarship (or in one case - makes the Olympics). None of them have ever received a scholarship or made the Olympics.
People can spend their money how they want. And they can chase whatever passion they want to chase. It’s just that if they think it’s an investment like they claim to think, it’s more of a huge gamble.
