I LOVED New Orleans' draft. Zion is an all star. The trade with the Hawks was amazing. I am not super high on De’Andre Hunter. UVa structure was very rigid, and he will have to show he can excel in the pick and roll in the NBA. I think he will be good, but the Pelicans got two immediate and important rotational players who are already showing chemistry in the summer league. Jaxon Hayes is a star rim runner and rim protector and NAW looks like a player that will help from day one with a high bball iq and smooth feel for the game like cousin SGA. And then to top it off, Golden St had to give them two second round picks to get Smailagic back.

They added good young talent in Hart, Ball, and Ingram. Nicolo Melli will be another valuable rotational player and play well off Zion. They each will have their own gravity — Zion on the roll and Melli beyond the arc. Favors, Redick, and Stanley Johnson together will make what a max contract cost. I like everything they did. And they have two additional first round picks.
