I imagine our conversation may go something like this.
Me: I think I see some cracks in the hull of this boat.
You: Listen, we’ve been out on the water for hours and the boat is just fine.
Me: Look closer, there’s some water that’s actually coming through one of the cracks and starting to collect in the bottom of the boat.
You: Like I said, the boat is fine and at this point it hasn’t sunk. The water has been fairly calm so what’s your problem.
Me: I think I see some dark clouds and rough water ahead.
You: Why can’t you just be happy that you get to have a nice day out on the water. All you do is complain!
