He was on his mission during much of it but he was communicating through his family. No reason to come back into that political mess. And you don't walk away from an NBA draft when you're guaranteed to be a lottery pick. Unless you are called on a mission. Then you walk away from being a lottery pick. But then you get back in the draft quick when you're done.
