It doesn't have to be their kid to irritate me.
We have largely done away with kids getting up and sharing those kinds of testimonies in our ward. We still have a few kids go up, but the parents have largely done a good job at explaining what a testimony is and isn't. I wish I could say the same for adults.
We have one guy who shares his testimony every month. He sits on the front row, and prides himself in being the first person up - every month (for at least ten years). He's never gone shorter than eight minutes (my kids time him). And he never really says anything other than a bunch of LDS cliches. He claims he made a promise to God that he would always "set an example" with his testimony.
We are in a large ward. And with the new block, the available time is never enough. It's irritating.
