know is that BSU has a new president - Dr. Marlene Tromp. She is young (for a university president) energetic and very smart. She's very visible in the community and has quickly become very popular here. She led the football team out of the tunnel for one game and joined the cheerleaders on the sideline for a cheer. She's a huge sports fan and was at the biggest basketball rivalry game in the area last night.

My guess is that Dr Tromp is behind this, and based on what I've seen so far I believe she'll convince Hair Thompson that it's in his best interest to follow the agreement that was made when BSU rejoined the Mountain West.
