Should be the norm in large cities, but not practical

That's too much common sense.

Lots of them are now coming out with 300-400 range in a charge

Not sure - but I really hope they get it figured out.

The real question is how long it takes to essentially eliminate ICE.

Electric or something else will. With how far we have come, there is no reason

At first I thought you meant immigration ICE.

A very in the know electrical engineer told that

Then it's a good thing that scenario isn't anywhere close to plausible

My neighbor (in AZ) has a bunch of solar panels on his house. My understanding

I’ve yet to see a situation even in AZ where soar power makes

My neighbor is a smart guy. So, he had a bunch of people come over and explain

We’ll be burning a whole lot of coal to get those ‘electric’ cars going.

Coal fired generation is rapidly being replaced by natural gas fired generation.

Luckily you can burn it away from the air we breathe in Utah's wasatch front

There is still some benefit due to the relative efficiencies of utility scale

Yep. Just can’t imagine stopping for 30 minutes to an hour to

Reason to worry if you had child in diesel mechanics school?

Electric cars will be surpassed by a better technology.
ClackamasCoug
2/26/20 9:35am
What technology do you see surpassing them? Fuel cells? Something different?
Defenestrator

I'll describe below.

Thanks for your reply. Here is where I am not understanding the vision:

No - only the tail gate has an internal pressure of 4 psi.

2/28/20 9:14am
Ok, so is this more or less the idea:

Here are four drawings to exemplify. Sorry for the photo bucket logos.

So if I understand correctly, the second image is showing the same kind of thing
Defenestrator
2/28/20 1:56pm
Which is the same thing as airplane lift - except horizontal.
ClackamasCoug
2/28/20 5:27pm
Thanks. Now let's consider the work required to decrease the pressure in front

What's a distortion field? I don't remember that from my physics class at BYU?
joelvandyne
2/28/20 8:12am
The distortion field "you make" blocking a pressure reaction.
ClackamasCoug
2/28/20 9:32am
I wasn't trying to say that about the class I took. I just don't remember ever
joelvandyne
2/28/20 9:42am
Thus the vacuum and distortion are created at the same time from fuel.

I would absolutely never want one. I take long road trips and it’s just not

But you might still have to take forever to charge it, and what if you’re going
