How many people would have died if we didn’t do this social distancing thing? That’s the number we need to compare to
the 80k. It’s also entirely unknown and the delta in projections makes it quite a bit of guesswork. If the number would have been something like 250k then it would be worth it imho. Something like an extra flu? Maybe not.

Death has always been an acceptable cost for a functioning economy. However, that doesn’t mean it’s always worth it.
