Lol, no. I think you are completely overrating this being a concern.
Sure, the NFL will beat them in ratings. Some ratings, and getting money out of those TV contracts, is better than nothing.
And starting in December isn’t even really a concern. It may be better. People have been pushing for the NBA to start in December and finish in August for a long time.
