The CCP of our generation has plenty of issues, but it is much less repressive and much more free-market-oriented than it was even 15 or 20 years ago. Not a reason to accept it's shortcomings, of course, but a little perspective is good, IMO, with all the hyperbole that's flying around in this election campaign.
