Speaking of the Phoenix area

Pros-

Practically natural disaster free. You are far more likely to experience a FEMA type emergency in any other major American city than you would in Phoenix.

4 major league sports, major college sports, Spring Training plus NASCAR, PGA tour, and big time sporting events (Super Bowl and Final Four).

Easy access to mountains, lakes and National Parks.

Given its size Phoenix traffic isn’t as bad as other large cities.

Cons-

The intense sun. It’s hot almost everywhere in the summer, but the Phoenix sun has an extra intensity to it. Skin cancer rate is pretty high here.

Robert Sarver. He’s awful.

If the ocean is your thing, then AZ isn’t the place for you.

Weak investment in public schools and public transportation.
