Most people agree we want more games
But as has been said, wanting more and getting more are 2 different things.

Other teams need to want a game with BYU and be able to (conference allows) their schedule. I think 2 scenarios have the potential for both of these to happen, but my confidence is not great.

1. A team (probably a G5) needs to add to their resume to potentially become the highest G5 team so they can get the NY6 invite. The problem is that we will already have played the 2 likely candidates from the MWC. So over the next 3-4 weeks, what AAC and other G5 teams may need a resume boost? And then will the risk of losing that game be worth the boost a win vs BYU brings?

2. Covid impacts schedules (most likely P12 or B10 due to their reduced # of games) and teams are "forced" to pick up non-conference games to fill a schedule. For example, a 7-0 Oregon team may feel that is enough to get them into the playoff. But whatever the chances are, they surely decrease significantly with every missed game. In this scenario, if Oregon loses a game due to their opponent impacted by covid, they may be willing to find a replacement (and the conf. leadership has shown they will cave if beneficial to the conference.)
