They have perceived liability since the clubs have a BYU identity and yet BYU has little oversight into the day to day activities of the clubs. BYU also has to staff for any oversight or administration activities.

Some clubs are politically stronger than others or they would probably suffer the same fate as BYU hockey. Based on my knowledge of the BYU administration they don’t seem to be the hockey loving type crowd.

Sometimes I think it would be easier for BYU not to have students…..they can be such a pain!!
