would be under the hope that adding the 3 Texas schools + OSU would improve Texas recruiting for Pac schools and give the Pac a Texas foothold that it might want. Now it won't offset the built in advantages of Texas and aTm which I think are poised to grow a bit, but the Pac might value the theoretically increased recruiting grounds+Texas presence enough to add those 4 and go to 16. It would also allow the original Pac 8 teams to return to their own division within the Conference of Champions!
