These aren't Nike shoe factories or maquiladoras in Mexico. We aren't working fast food workers 80 hours a week or making children work. They aren't in danger of mine collapses, explosions, or losing a limb. Working 30 hours a week at a fast food joint isn't torture. Pay sucks and most don't want "fry cook" on the top line of their resume, nor do they want to be doing that task as a career. But I'd stop short of calling them "awful working conditions."
My goodness our country is soft--people lift a finger, stand on their feet for a few hours, or actually work and they complain that their lives are terrible.
