When I get called by recruiters for companies both in and out of state.....And for the remote position jobs, companies not based in Utah they're still offering more than what Utah companies are.
Too many of companies here, and to be fair many others outside of Utah rely on Compensia or something similar to it and put their employees in a box and come heck or high water won't go outside that pay range.
It's silly how many won't at least try and fight to retain a high producing employee because another company offers them higher pay all because of the salary/compensation boxes they fit them in.
