I interviewed a gentleman this week who seemed like a good guy and I could probably find a role for him but his expected salary range was way above his qualifications and competency. He was pretty firm on his salary range so I’m not going to insult him by offering him well below that range.
He’ll probably find a job somewhere and get what he is asking, but if I hired him I would be constantly frustrated with him knowing what I was paying him and that wouldn’t be good for either of us.
