extreme, to the point I strongly suspect he never developed a deep or mature knowledge of any religious tradition. Thus his critiques are quite shallow. It would be like me trying to make a critique of science or some other field I know little about, and then being very certain in my conclusions.

Dawkins is out of his depth when he discusses religion. He should just acknowledge this and cease making a fool of himself.
