Richard Dawkins has become the God many atheists worship. He has done more damage to the value of religion and spirituality than perhaps any other person in modern times. He has promoted a brand of toxic atheism.

Dawkins fails to see the irony in his certainty that God doesn’t exist as contrasted with the certainty of many that God does exist. This hubris, this over-confidence in his own reasoning ability, limits his perspectives and closes off many possibilities.

I would be much more open to Dawkins’ perspectives on religion and spirituality if there was even a hint of humility in the man when it comes to his views on those subjects.
