Where do you keep the alpacas while you're shaving them?

How long does the wool get on alpaca number 999,847 while it's waiting for it's turn?

Unless these are all male or all female alpacas - how many alpacas do you think you'd have by the time you got around to shaving them all to sell their wool? Aren't some of them going to have babies? Some of them more than one baby? And, of course, some may die too.

I've got so many questions...
