I cleaned it yesterday, but weirdly, the ashes wont stay I the cup.
The land all over the bottom, so I have to vacuum it all out before every cook.

Yes. Pork shoulder is about the most forgiving cut there is. As long as you get it to temp, it will be ok

That's typical to have ash everywhere, because there's a fan in the fire pot.
