On most cars today fortunately the sensors get jammed up when there is snow
This automatically disengages the cruise control. That said I have seen people get out and clear that off so that they can continue to use their cruise control smh

Here's another tip. No cruise control when it's slick. Just shut it off. It will get you into trouble.

There's a big spectrum of driving in the snow. Cruise is fine for lots of it.

The problem is that it depends a lot vehicle to vehicle and conditions change quickly.

Snow tires are more important than 4WD for winter driving. But both are helpful.
