I'm not sure that he'd have the actual votes, but I could definitely see him having the ASU consensus on what they feel about SMU. Which is basically the same thing.

I could see a situation (like aTm with Texas) where ASU eventually votes yes for unity sake while not supporting it, but it sounds like they don't support SMU then.
