We love Rome but get sick of it after about 3 days. But definitely tons to see
If you stay 5. Definitely a charming city especially in the evenings walking to dinner and to gelato wandering the trastevere area.

Time
5 days in Rome. Is there enough to do & see to just stay there the whole time?

Vatican City (St. Peter's Basilica, Square). The Roman Forum. The Coliseum.

We went in the winter (Jan) so there weren't many lines, though. So it was easy.

You can easily keep yourself occupied for five days in Rome. We were just there for four and left lots unseen.

We were there for a week in December and felt it wasn’t long enough.

3 is plenty. Take 2 and add Florence; you won’t be sorry
