Internet news cycle drives some anxiety perhaps
The news cycle about players signing, coming or going used to feel a lot more structured. You'd have two to four players sign for an incoming class, maybe a transfer, with that news coming out two or three times a year.

With the transfer portal and high roster turnover, and Internet news sites covering the changes 24/7 with constant updates, it seems to drive a lot more anxiety. Are we getting a guy? Are we losing a guy? Up and down, all the time.

Of course, if we're on CB, then we are likely a bit addicted to following Cougar sports (and other teams too), but the constant Internet news cycle can drive some anxiety. Makes it hard to disconnect and believe that positive things are happening - rather than a sense we're getting left behind or that things aren't happening quickly enough. In other words, it's probably less about what is actually happening and more about the constant changing news cycle that drives some anxiety about how things will turn out.

But - here's to optimism that it all comes together!
