Getting the Doctor involved, from my point of view, is unnecessary. When I get Doctors pushing me for elective procedures, the last thing I want to do is go out of my way to help them. We are taking care of multiple patients within the unit and have to make decisions based on the whole unit and it's capabilities.
I've had surveys wait all day long. Sometimes they even get pushed to the next day. It's just how it is.
I'm sorry she is experiencing this and I hope they get her in soon, but please be mindful that we can't pull staff and beds out of thin air.
