Lots of cards allow you to transfer your points to international airlines such as AirFrance, and those point redemption deals are much better for international flights.

There’s a lot of other value in travel cards niche things I won’t bore you with, but if you don’t travel internationally every couple years, or don’t use Chase for Hyatt, the value is a lot harder to realize
