The signup bonuses are lucrative if you spend enough to meet the spend
requirements. It's getting harder and harder to churn those cards to get the bonuses now.
But for just everyday spend, I think a 2% cash back card like the Citi double cash is better than a points or miles card.

You should never book through the card’a travel portal. Transfer the points to the airline (or a partner) and book
