Coach Omer is only considered obese if you literally compare his height and weight on a BMI chart. Anyone who looks at the man can see that he has a very solid build. I would bet that his body fat % is less than some of the younger guys on this board. That being said, he was simply an average strength and conditioning coach. He's a great guy and a good fit for what BYU is willing to pay, salary wise. Coach Omer's methods and techniques are extremely behind the times though.
I like the suggestion on hiring a guy like JP. I don't like the guy, personally, but he would be a great strength and conditioning coach. Not sure if he would fit in very well with some of the other coaches though.
