That's not my understanding. He is keeping donor status, and adding a layer on
top of donor status ("subscriber"). You have to pay extra to get the premium features of being a subscriber. But current donors can continue as donors without any change, and new users can become donors by paying $15 for a 3-month subscription (as opposed to the minimum $10 from before).
