1. Why BYU has several "extra" rules that faithful LDS students attending and graduating from institute at other schools don't have to keep. These are largely grooming-related, but it makes no sense to me why somehow a faithful LDS student attending BYU is required to do something more/different than a faithful LDS student attending institute any other university.
2. Why does BYU-I have an even more archaic policy? Isn't it all BYU? Shouldn't BYU be the same everywhere? Why are the rules at BYU-I different than they are at BYU Provo?
I would really like to see BYU review the honor and grooming codes and get rid of silly remnants of the past (beards? really? The school's founder sported a pretty awesome beard himself!), stop requiring BYU students to live standards that are different than worthy and faithful students elsewhere, and then also harmonize the rules across all BYU campuses.
