We as a church have been a huge public affairs FAIL.

Example #1:
Do you know any Mormons?
Yes, all of my LDS friends are great people, good families, I love Mormons.

What do you think of the Mormon religion?
Aren't they a cult, racist, believe in multiple wives? Secretive?

Example #2:
Successful businessman, state governor, wonderful family.

Successful businessman, offends many, says outlandish insults to women, minorities.

Who has a better chance at being POTUS?

When the chasm between public perception and reality is that wide we have a Public Affairs failure.

The fix starts with each LDS member. No longer can we stand idly by, living our lives by example, just hoping others will take notice. It's time for us to get into people's face, tell them how it is.

Are you Mormon?
1. Yes I was raised a member.

I can't find any other church that answers my questions about God.
I don't know any other church that provides such a good social support to help me raise my family.
No other religion in the world teaches me how to be a good husband.
Etc, etc.

We need more BamaCougs out there spreading the word. Like 15 million. Our numbers will always be small. But let's make some noise.
