Yes, I've been to Texas. And?
You realize that the state of Texas services schools in multiple states, right? Furthermore, Texas tech isn't Texas or A&M. Are you really arguing that Tech throws elite talent on the field every year?

Please.

Your example of pro athletes doesn't hold water here. The attributes you speak of are needed in every offense. What offense doesn't require precision and smarts???? And by bringing QBs into it, I'm not understanding your logic. The other interesting thing is that you named athletes who play in varied NFL offenses which are more spread than pro style. Also, Welker played....where in college?

It's comical that you actually think that a spread athlete doesn't have to think. C'mon, man. That's preposterous. There is just as much going on and to think about, it's just that it's different. Nobody can go out and just play. Preparation in any offense is paramount.

The funniest thing you wrote, however, is that you wrote that the spread is a gimmick and easier to prepare for.

1. Maybe you haven't noticed, but it's here to stay. They said the same thing about the passing game, about the west coast offense, and many others. They said you couldn't run it in P5. They did, and still do. When Urban went to the sec, they said you couldn't run it there, either. They did, and everyone runs it there now, INCLUDING Satan who had to make the change because he said that they couldn't keep up anymore. They said they couldn't run it in the NFL. Guess what? Now everyone runs it to a certain degree. Everyone. Try watching a patriots game and tell me what they run about 70-80% of the time.

2. In no way is it easier to prepare for. You must be thinking about the pro style. Because anyone who knows the game disagrees with you. Pro style limits options, especially in personnel. Defenses lick their chops when they get to play PS because their prep is much different. It's about the one on ones rather than beating the scheme. The spread is the opposite. You scheme to beat scheme, only the options the offense has are endless.

Last, your basketball reference doesn't work either. If it's so great, why is everyone not running pro style? It's illogical to think that a team with lesser players can run an offense predicated on one on one matchups! BYU will NEVER get the talent necessary to win those battles. Lavell knew this, so why do you not understand it? Please provide some sort of actual football strategy and scheme based analysis in your rebuttal, not general stuff.
