That is one of the craziest theories I have ever heard.

Better reasons that I can think of off of the top of my head:
He missed quite a few early in the season and has lost confidence
He is having off the court issues in a certain part of his life
He has developed a taste for refried beans and the gas is messing up his shooting
Him losing a bit more hair than he used to have is messing up his ability to dictate how windy it is
His brother told him he hates red heads and now TJ is scarred
His dad is making him play basketball and he is defying him by missing shots
He doesn't like Jimmer and is trying to be the anti-Jimmer
He figured with his red hair he should help the Utes and the best way he knows how to do it is by missing shots
