TJ grew up playing free flowing fast shooting basketball. Meaning, you can get more open shots when you push the ball consistently and try to run it up the other teams back over and over and over again. The defense doesn't have time to settle . From what I can see, TJ grew up playing that style---until this year. Same way with Zeljaas.
TJ is getting open looks. He is a highly skilled player and to his credit he is going all in and sacrificing his natural game to fit the new system. But it is a big deal to try to change your whole basketball mindset of how the game is played and adjust it. It effects your timing, your confidence, your rhythm , etc. And that can effect your shooting because shooting is such a fine tuned skill and very mental.
