I don't think you were wrong.
I have found Drew and the entire Trib staff to be pretty unappealing for a while. I don't have any personal beef with him, but I'm glad that I won't be tempted to read anything he writes.
The Trib is a rag and their coverage of BYU and the Church is so slanted that I made a deliberate effort to stop reading anything associated with them a while back. I don't want to reward them even with extra clicks on articles...voting with my money so to speak.
If Jay Drew is a good journalist then he will get picked up some place else....it's a business after all.
