I see Ben holds himself out as a Consultant/Brand Ambassodor for Royal Army.
So he might not be you guys, or he might be compensated in company stock, obviously none of us know here. As for the license- you don't have it unless it was in writing. If it was in writing they wouldn't have been able to just revoke it. This is pretty simple trademark/licensing law.
