For instance the game announcers for the televised HS football games here in Utah this season continually mispronounced the name of one of the kids on our team, and they broadcast multiple games. The announcers aren’t amateurs either, they were Dave Fox a local sports anchor, Alema Harrington the former BYU RB and local sports anchor, and Tony Parks a local radio sports talk show host.

The kids last name is Schoonover, pronounced ”Skoon Over” and they called him ”Shoon Over” all season. This despite him being a BYU commit, so he isn’t exactly unknown, and his uncle with the same surname being a former BYU All American baseball player so once again not exactly an unknown name around here.
