Unutoa and Gunderson both have the measurables now to be in the 2-deep. (Gunderson is listed as the same size as Empey - 6'4", 295). And, yet neither will be in the 2-deep for at least a couple of years because we have a lot of good olineman on the roster. (And, I'm not sure whether either has any mission plans). Remember, only 5 olineman can play at a time and the 2-deep only has 10 oline players.
Freeland and Mitchell are projects, for sure. Freeland has the frame that could develop into a mauler. Not sure on Mitchell. May be he is a good long snapper? A huge percentage of recruits never really get any sort of solid playing time, so there is room for projects that could develop into contributors - or not.
I agree that Sagapolu would be a great get. But, Oregon is putting together a monster recruiting class this year. I doubt we win that battle.
