Interesting that the partnership is with GM since they already have the
relationship with Ford supplying the Powerstroke. Was Ford just not willing or is Navistar just casting a broad net or what?

Yup, navistar isn't a brand name to invoke in the US. I'm assuming they'd run Duramax anyway
