Alex Jensen has more years coaching experience, sure (because Mad Dog was still in the NBA as a player in 2007-2009). I'd be fine even saying Jensen is a slightly more "qualified" candidate than Mark Madsen. But would we really take Pope over Madsen if both were interested?

Pope hasn't even taken UVU to the NIT. He relies heavily on transfers. I think people overstate what Pope could be as a coach at BYU.
