That's a big IF though. The transfer rules in Arizona are administered with an iron fist and even though hardship exemptions exist the AIA does its best to deny the exemptions rather than grant them. The best interest of the kid is not their priority. He could sit an entire year if the AIA doesn't grant him an exemption out of the gate and that decision won't be made until August mere days before the start of the season. If AIA doesn't grant an exception he can appeal, but even if he were to appeal and win he would miss at least the first few games of the season due to the timing of the process, which is purposefully stacked against the transferring player.

About the school, some have pointed it out that ALA QC is 3A but it has a football program that punches above its weight class and has a group of coaches many 4A-6A programs in AZ would love to have. I hear they will be going 4A in 2020 and are seeing a trend of better athletes seeking out the football program.

As for the comments about being a charter school and people pulling their kids from it, different strokes for different folks. Not sure how that bears any relevance to the opening post.
